Based on a photograph taken by the collector on a terrace in Barcelona’s Gràcia district, the scene is distilled into a clear visual construction in which intimacy is sustained through an economy of means.
The figure is articulated against a fragmented geometric ground that quietly evokes the language of Cubism.
